The Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen is another Japanese pen intended to mimic writing like a brush with the convenience of a felt tip pen. The Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen is available in two brush types, hard and soft. It is a steal at under $3.
The Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen is available in two brush types, soft and hard. The blue body pictured is the hard brush. It provides a flexible tip without being too sensitive to pressure, for heavy writers like myself.
Brush pens are fabulous for sketching, and brush calligraphy. The line versatility with the Tombow is impressive. As you can see in the tulip picture, the pen goes from thin detail lines to thick lines flawlessly. For sketching, this is a timesaver, especially quick sketching. The ink is a dark black, and is bold, on typical weight quadrille (graph) paper, you can see this pen through one sheet, which is why the word fabulous is a ghost image on the page, which I left for fun. Despite this, there was very little bleed through.
The Tombow is a great pen to try out for a first brush pen.

Overall Rating 4/5 Best use is for brush calligraphy and sketching.
It's not a 5 because I would not use it daily, but for a brush style, it is great.
